
Anthony Findlay

Anthony was born and raised in West Vancouver. At West Van Secondary he captained the Rugby, Football and Basketball Teams to the BC Championships, receiving All-Stars in each. He received the Frank Gnup Scholarship for Excellence in Academics, Character and Football (UBC), the Ian Kelsey Award for Outstanding Character (Provincial), the Brian Upson Memorial Award for Outstanding Character and Basketball Excellence, the Howe Sound Zone Scholarship for Academic and Basketball Excellence, the Passport to Education Scholarship for being on the Honour Roll every year in high school and a Football Scholarship to UBC. Anthony was an All-Star and Captain of the UBC Football Team where he played 4 years and earned a Psychology Degree. He went on to play professional football with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL. Anthony left the CFL after 1995 to work in the health and high performance industry. In 1997 he started Level 10 Fitness. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), a Certified Personal Trainer (C-PT) with the NSCA and an NCCP Certified Coach for Several Sports including Olympic Weightlifting.
He is very privileged to have had the opportunity to help athletes achieve success on and off the field of play. Anthony and his staff have trained 8 Olympic Medallists (5 Gold, 3 Silver), over 100 World Cup Podium Winners in Wrestling, Indoor Cycling and Snowboarding. Athletes that have honed their skills at Level 10 Fitness Inc have gone on to participate on sports biggest stages: the Super Bowl, The Grey Cup, the Vanier Cup, the Stanley Cup, the Memorial Cup, the RBC Cup and the World Series.
Anthony is the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Canada Snowboard and the National Tae Kwon Do Team. He has consulted for the National Women’s Field Hockey Team, the National Whitewater Team, the National Flatwater Team and the National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team. His company, Level 10 Fitness Inc, also provide the Head Strength and Conditioning Positions for the National Men’s Wrestling Team, the National Sailing Team and the National U20 Men’s Rugby Team. Anthony was the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Team BC for the 2007 Canada Winter Games and the 2005 Canada Summer Games. From 1999-2006 he was the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the UBC Football Team, UBC Men’s Basketball Team, UBC Women’s and Men’s Volleyball Teams and consulted with the UBC Men’s and Women’s Rowing Teams and the UBC Men’s Rugby Team .
He is a lecturer and consultant to various universities and colleges (in Canada and the US), secondary schools (across Canada) and club teams (across Canada) for speed and power development, endurance training, as well as in-season, off-season and pre-season strength and conditioning programs. Anthony currently works with clients of all ages and needs including many professional athletes in the MLB, CFL, NFL, NBA, NHL, & various sports abroad (i.e. rugby, basketball, hockey, soccer, volleyball).
Anthony's company, Level 10 Fitness Inc., is a multi disciplinary strength and conditioning firm which offers everything from rehabilitation to elite athletic development. His staff of performance experts, physiotherapists, massage therapists and chiropractors exhibit a level of knowledge and integrity which yields unparalleled results. He was honoured by the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce as 2007’s Top Young Entrepreneur on the North Shore.
Level 10 Fitness Inc presently has three locations in Vancouver: The flagship is an 8000sqft state-of-the-art high performance facility located by the North Vancouver waterfront in the Harbourside Business Park; the second is at the prestigious North Shore Winter Club where they oversee the weight/fitness rooms and all team and individual training requirements; the third is a boutique style gym (emphasizing the best in customer service) in LEVEL Furnished Living located in the heart of Downtown/Yaletown. LEVEL is Vancouver’s premier serviced apartment building which redefines Vancouver’s traditional concept of extended stay.
